By Air

This is the fastest way to travel to Langkawi. It takes about an hour with Air Asia, there are other airlines that provide a similar service to Langkawi.

Go By Sea

You can take a ferry into Langkawi from Kuala Kedah, Kuala Perlis, Penang, or Satun (Thailand). The ferry ride is slightly over an hour long.

By Train

You have to get to Langkawi by ferry at some point. There are 3 places where you can catch ferries. Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, and Penang. So you can choose to take the train to any of these 3 points, then catch a cab to get to the ferry.

Also, the sleeper train departs at night and arrives early in the morning, from which point you take a cab to the ferry terminal to catch the ferries.
