However, some of the best beaches are worth a little trip out of the comfort of your hotel. Try Burau Bay, situated on the west of the island, or Pasir Tengkorak and Pantai Kok Beach in the north.

Visit Langkawi’s Sky Bridge

There is a cable car that can take you up to the sky bridge. The views from the sky bridge are breathtaking but it is cold at the top. The sky bridge is more than 660 meters above sea level. And it is 125 meters long.

Once you reach the top of the bridge, you will be able to enjoy the view of Mount Mat Cinchang. It also offers a great photo opportunity with splendid views in the background.

As I mentioned before it is cold and windy at the top, so you will need to bring a jumper or jacket.

This is very popular in Langkawi, so make sure you book the ticket early or better, buy it online. Or else, you have to queue and the queues are long.

Use Langkawi’s Sky Cab

The sky cab is a cable car that will take you to the top of Mat Cincang Mountain. The cable car ride is about 20 mins and will bring you all the way up to about 708 meters above sea level.

As you travel on the cable car you can see amazing views of the turquoise sea on one side and lush green forest on the other side. There are small waterfalls in the forest that you will also see.

I recommend getting there early as it gets very busy. The view from the top is amazing and well worth visiting.

Visit Langkawi’s, Legend Park

Langkawi Legend Park can be found right near Kuah’s jetty. It is a stunning folklore-themed park. This park has been around since 1996 and you will see open-air garden museums that are sure to impress.

The garden museum sits right next to some statutes which are full of color. There is also a waterfront that offers a great photo opportunity.

The park covers over 50 hectares and its sculptures reflect the history of some of Langkawi’s famous people and animals. A fantastic and enjoyable fun day is sure to be had here.

Visit Eagle Square

The Eagle Square is a Langkawi landmark. Eagle Square can be found in the town of Dataran Lang, it is a sculpture of a giant eagle that is in a position about to fly off into the sky.

The sculpture can be seen from miles away and is 12 meters in height. Not only does this area boast amazing views of Kuah Bay but it also comes with a number of tiny bridges, fountains, and terraces.

The best time to come here is as the sun is about to go down or after it has gone dark.

Is Langkawi A Party Island?

No, Langkawi is not a party island. Langkawi does consist of bars, cocktail bars, and a few lively bars. They all have a crowd and live music that will keep you entertained until sunrise but nothing crazy.
