If you are interested in seeing wildlife particularly birds, then you should visit Seima Protected Forest. The Seima Protected Forest is about 3000 square km.
You can explore the forest by hiking around it with a guide which is an experience in itself. You will have a chance to see animals in the wild such as gibbons, macaques, squirrels, hornbills, owls, and more.
See Dak Dam Waterfall
Sen Monorom is home to some beautiful waterfalls in the area that are worth a visit. One of which is the Dak Dam waterfall that you can reach from Sen Monorom, which is about 25 km from the town.
Though it is fairly far from the town, many visitors are willing to visit this waterfall when they are visiting Sen Monorom. However, the location of the waterfall is also quite isolated and it is not easy to get there.
You are recommended to rent a motorbike and hire a tour guide for safety.
Visit Bou Sra Waterfall
Another option is if you do not want to visit Seima Protected Forest, then you can enjoy the beautiful Bou Sra Waterfall. The height of the waterfall is about 10 meters and it really looks spectacular with the combination of the forest surrounding the waterfall.
The walk to the waterfalls is reasonably easy. The bottom of the waterfalls can get very crowded on a busy day.
There are local food and drinks available at stalls in the area. I would suggest bringing water and snacks as it can be more expensive in tourist spots.
