Enjoy Views From Legazpi Boulevard

From Legazpi Boulevard you can enjoy the stunning views of Mayon Volcano across the lake. You can also watch the sunrise and sunset from Legazpi Boulevard.

There are cafes and restaurants around the boulevard, where you can also watch the sunrise.

Visit Cagsawa Ruins Park

The Cagsawa Ruins Park is a great little place to wander around. It will take at most two hours to explore the ruins. There are tourist stands that sell a variety of items such as ice cream, knives, magnets, baskets, and T-shirts.

Cagsawa Ruins was built in 1587, then destroyed in 1646. Before it was reconstructed way back in 1724 and then destroyed once again in 1814. On a sunny and clear day, you will see Mount Mayon perfectly right behind the Cagsawa ruins, creating the perfect photo opportunity.

Visit Daraga Church

Explore The Japanese Tunnels

During World War II the Japanese invaded the Philippines. While the Japanese occupied Legazpi, they built tunnels that at the top is a 360-degree view of Legazpi and Mount Mayon.

Back in 1941 when the Japanese occupied Legazpi the tunnel stretched to the city hall. Today, the tunnel is not quite as long but you still get to explore and crawl through the tunnels.

The tunnels are lit and slightly cooler than their surroundings due to their stone walls. There is a small entrance fee.

Enjoy The View Of The City From Lignon Hill

Lignon Hill Nature Park is a great place for hiking. Once you reach the top of the 156-meter-high hill, there is a rewarding 360-degree view of the city. Or even get to watch the sunrise and sunset.

For 250 PHP, you can also zipline down the mountain with the view of Mayon Volcano on your left side and on far below.

Visit Albay Park And Wildlife

The park has a lagoon where you can go boating, rent bikes, and have a zoo. They also have life-size dinosaurs, moving and with sounds that scare little children and delight the adults.

Some of the animals you will see are crocodiles, pigs, deer, pythons, Philippine Hawk-Eagle, and much more.

The zoo animals are caged and the cages seem to be very small. They are even scattered around the park, to see the monkey you have to climb the steep stairs.

The whole place is very clean and doesn’t smell like a zoo even though animals are everywhere.

Go On An ATV Tour

There are loads of companies that offer ATV tours. They provide tour guides guide. The ATVs are in good condition for the most part.

During the tours, you will see Mayon Volcano, Lignon Hills, and Cagsawa ruins and our ultimate activity is traversing Mount Mayon using ATV. The tours can last up to 4 hours.
