Wear Light Clothes
Philippines has 3 seasons including wet season from June to October, dry season from November to February and hot season from March to May.
However, it is more of hot all-year-round and you will probably sweat a lot during your visit. So, wearing thin and comfortable clothes made from cotton are recommended.
Since you tend to walk a lot while exploring, you will need comfy shoes to walk along mostly uneven paved roads. Bring flip-flops or sandals will be more comfortable when you walk in the city.

It’s best to always bring your own first-aid kit and medicine to prepare for any unexpected condition. Also mosquito repellant to prevent dengue or other bug’s bites.
Besides that, toilet roll, tissue and wet tissue sometimes come in handy to help you wipe your sweat or when there is no toilet paper around.
Be Sun Smart
Travelling to Philippines means you will spend most of your time outdoors, especially along the beaches. So, you will probably spend your days in direct sunlight.
Avoid sunburn by applying sunscreen with high SPF before going outdoors. Last, complete your fashion style with sunglasses and hats to fight against the sunlight.
Bring a Water Bottle
Drinking tap water isn’t recommended. You will end up get an upset stomach because the water isn’t the best. So, bring refillable water bottle is essential.
Not only reduce bottle plastic pollution, you can also keep your hydrated all the time.
Power For Your Electrics
Philippines uses type A, B, and C sockets. If you have different plug-in from the one in Philippines, be ready to bring travel adapter or universal plug socket.
So, you can charge your phone or laptop anytime anywhere.
Don’t forget to bring power bank, so you don’t need to worry when visiting a place far from electricity.
Bring Properly Camera Gear
You will take a lot of photos during your visit in Philippines because you will see a variety of beautiful places. Whether you bring DSLR, Go Pro, or smart phone, ensure to keep them in the waterproof bags to avoid rain or underwater activities.
Bring a Daypack
When you just sightseeing around the city, you might want to leave all the heavy items in your hotel room. So, wear a daypack is essential to simply bring small bills, water bottle and other items for a day.
Beware of pickpocketing! Choose secure and sturdy pack that the strap won’t easily be cut off.
