  • If you go on a hike in the jungle, you shouldn’t wear short-sleeved t-shirts and shorts because mosquitoes are attracted to wood and low lighting.
  • Wear clothes that are light in color. Light clothing keeps you cooler than dark clothing as this will also attract mosquitoes as easily.
  • If you are having dinner outside in the evening, you should remember that the evenings are when mosquitoes are more active.
  • If possible try not to use perfumes or strong scented lotions and colognes. Yes, you are in a hot country where you will most likely sweat a lot and you want to still smell nice but the truth is, mosquitoes are attracted by scents such as the ones from perfume.
