Petronas Twin Towers and Aquarium
We arrived into Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Phuket by plane as it was about a 90 min flight. And from the airport to our hotel near the city center was a 45 min taxi drive.
One of the main things to do in Kuala Lumpur is the Petronas twin Towers. This was the tallest building in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remains the tallest twin towers in the world. We turned up about 11am in the morning to buy tickets. Tickets cost us 85 MYR (about 18 euro). If you want to do this in the evening to see the Kuala Lumpur skyline at night definitely book online and in advance as this more than likely with be sold out.
Your tickets will give you access to the Skybridge plus the Observation Deck on the 86th floor. Someone will escort you to each viewing point, where you’re free to wander around on your own and take pictures.
Next up we visited the KLCC Aquarium is located a short walk from Petronas twin Towers across KLCC park. Tickets cost 69 MYR (about 14 euro). It worth going online to see the feeding schedule, might want to see the sharks or the piranhas been feed.
Once inside you move along through a type of maze ensuring that you pass by all the exhibits with the tanks were all beautifully maintained and the entire facility is very clean. The highlights of the aquarium is the oceanarium with a 90-metre long underwater tunnel where we viewed stunning underwater creatures like turtles, sharks, eels and many species of large and small fishes. Other highlights Piranha Tank, Sand-Tiger Sharks, Giant Blotched Fantail Ray, Tawny Nurse Sharks. and gentle Green Sea Turtle.
